happy list v.6

a happy list

one // Having an absolutely amazing blended family.  I love and appreciate my family. How we are always there for each other and include each other in as many things as possible.

two // Celebrating my birthday. My coworkers were so wonderful and decorated my desk, baked me an apple pie, and bought me sweet gifts. Not to mention, my secret pal dropped off an adorable birthday gift basket while I was on my break! Then, when I got home John surprised me with a Cricut!

three // Signing up for my first 5k for 2018. Because of “early bird” deals, I could not help but register more than six months in advance for the Bubble Run 5k. I only had to pay a $20 registration fee! I did the Bubble Run 5k earlier this year and had such a fun time.

four // My cousin and his girlfriend getting ready to have their baby! They were admitted to the hospital the day before my birthday on the eighth and we are all eagerly awaiting his arrival.

five // Getting a new roof on our home. While this was not our first choice to spend such a large sum of money on, it was a must. A few weekends ago our roof began to leak! Since then, every time it would rain (which has been every day) we would stress out. We are definitely thankful to have a new roof over our heads with a thirty year warranty.

six // New purchases. Recently I have bought a few goodies to treat myself. One of my favorites is the Make Yourself at Home book by Moorea Seal!

happy list v.5

a happy list

one // My boss electing me as the lead for an amazing community project. During an all-staff training, each department was given $200 and the task to team up with a local charity. The goal is to use the $200 to grow that money and then donate it to the chosen charity. Our chosen charity provides a home for homeless families and provides for them until they are able to get onto their feet.

two // Discovering an amazing pet store with fantastic prices. John and I came across an adorable pet store that sells mainly organic cat and dog foods and treats as well as a lot of supplies and toys. The prices are incredible too! We bought a new food bowl for our lab so that he can’t vacuum up his food any more! Not to mention, we bought quite a few treats as well.

three // Celebrating my birthday month. The first of November marks the start of my birthday month! Also, Thanksgiving! Only five more days until I turn twenty-eight.

four // Stranger Things season two. While we were unable to binge watch the entire second season in a night, we are sure trying to finish the season! Unfortunately work schedules make it difficult to do so.

five // Getting scared half to death at work but being able to laugh about it later… Much later. I happened to glance up at the glass entrance doors just to see someone in a Pennywise (from the new It movie) standing there staring in. They stood there for a good thirty seconds holding a red balloon. Once I finally managed to start breathing to try to point it out to my coworkers, they walked away. My heart felt like it tried to jump out of my chest!

six // Decaf Americanos. Can’t stop, won’t stop.

Setting intentions, and living intentionally, has begun to play a rather large role in my life.
